Zen Tai Chi

A quiet space for attention and gentle movement. Watch the circles, notice your breath as it is, and return whenever your attention wanders.

Zen developed from the Chinese Chan Buddhist tradition and emphasizes direct experience and meditation. Tai chi developed in China as a martial art and is also practiced through slow, attentive movement. This app combines Zen-inspired reflections with nine simple posture cues; it is not a traditional Zen or tai chi training sequence.

Start a session to enable voice and gongs together. Adjust either in Options. A shuffled reflection appears every 30 seconds. Every two minutes, practice a random posture for 20 seconds, sitting or standing. A gong marks its end. Move within your comfortable range; the pulse is a visual focus, not a breathing requirement.

At the end, take a moment to write. Journal entries are stored only in this browser on this device. Export them to keep a backup.
